GCB 2013 invites the submission of papers on all aspects of bioinformatics.

Areas of interest include

  • Sequence Analysis and Comparative Genomics
  • Transcriptomics, Metabolomics, and Proteomics
  • Metabolic and Regulatory Networks
  • Systems Biology
  • Quantitative Genetics
  • RNA Bioinformatics
  • Metagenomics
  • Phylogeny
  • Structural Bioinformatics
  • Molecular Interactions and Drug Design
  • Textmining and Ontologies
  • Visualisation and Image Analysis

The focus is not restricted to specific computational techniques or biological applications.

GCB invites submissions of the following types

Regular papers (submission is closed)

should have 8–10 pages and will be published in the conference proceedings (Open Access Series in Informatics of Schloss Dagstuhl). Paper submissions will be peer-reviewed by the program committee and judged by quality, originality and relevance. Submissions may cover any area of bioinformatics.

Please prepare your manuscript according to our guidelines and use the LaTeX or MS Word Template provided below. However, since the conference proceedings will be produced with LaTeX, we strongly encourage authors to use the LaTeX Template to prepare the final versions of accepted manuscripts for the proceedings.

Please, also note that the submission format is PDF only.
Submit a regular paper (existing EasyChair accounts can be used).

Highlight papers (submission is closed)

(short papers) should report on recent work, preferably published during the last year. Topics include biological findings, new computational methods or new software tools. Highlight papers should be submitted as an abstract of at most 4 pages (including references). Submissions will be judged by the importance and novelty of the findings and relevance to the conference audience. Selected Highlight papers will be chosen for oral presentation at GCB. Highlight papers will be made available via the conference website.

Please prepare your manuscript according to our guidelines and use the templates provided below.

Please, also note that the submission format is PDF only.
